Family ASL Course:

Daily Routines and Activities

Join a certified Teacher of the Deaf in learning about language development and using sign language to support your child’s growing communication needs.

Deaf and Hard of Hearing children all too often experience language delays and frustrations associated with listening and spoken language. American Sign Language can help provide early and essential access to language for your child.

American Sign Language can be used in addition to spoken language techniques to give your child a well-rounded and strong foundation in language and communication.

In this course you will not only learn different signs associated with different routines and activities in your daily lives but you will also learn strategies and have live discussion on how we can implement it.

Baby Basics Signs

Our Baby Basics Signs class is a 2 hour session offered once a month.

It is designed for parents and caregivers who want to introduce early communication through simple, effective signs. In this course, you'll learn essential signs to use with your baby during daily routines—such as mealtime, playtime, and bedtime—and understand what signs to use, how to teach them, and when to introduce them based on your child’s developmental stage.

Using sign language with your baby can support early cognitive and language development, help reduce communication-related frustration, and strengthen the bond between you and your child. Regardless of a signed, spoken, or bilingual approach, baby sign language offers a powerful tool to promote early expression and understanding—often before speech begins.
